Janey originally grew up on the North East coast of Scotland but now lives and works in Friesland.
She finds the inspiration for her artwork in industrial locations and the people at work in them. Preferably visiting the workplaces at different times of the day, capturing the moment in a quick chacoal or watercolour sketch.
Further developing these into larger format oil or watercolour paintings. The finished artwork shows the depth and complexity that such industrial, and for many inaccessible, environments possess
